For seventy years, Arthur Griffin (1903-2001) strolled and studied the streets and paths of Winchester, his beloved adopted hometown. Here, the renowned photographer captured the spirit of New England in the brick, foliage, and sunsets of an iconic Massachusetts town.
His art achieved national acclaim; and his legacy lives on with us.
Upon his death, the Arthur Griffin Foundation became his voice and vehicle to support civic programs that would benefit Winchester and its residents. Through scholarships and grants, we aim to preserve and enhance the beauty of the community.
We thank our devoted Arthur Griffin Foundation current and emeritus trustees for their committed support to the Winchester residences student artist educational grant and scholarship programs.
